Seeing as yesterday was Valentine's day, we're using the United States Map in our product Map Engine to take a look at a state by state comparison of where November birthdays are above, below, or about average. Why November? What's 11 minus 9? (It's ok, we'll wait...)
While it's hard to prove, there is plenty of circumstantial evidence that 'baby booms' happen after major events (Super Bowl babies are an urban myth for a reason!) and holidays. And sure enough in some parts of the country there is a pronounced (ahem)...bump...in babies born 9 months after Valentine's Day.
